God, the very first name by which you chose to reveal yourself to us is Elohim. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). This is a wonderful and mysterious name. It’s wonderful because it proclaims that you’re the source of the whole creation. It's mysterious because you chose the plural form of Eloah to declare who you are. Is this some clue right from the start that you're triune—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? Yes, you, God, are the one and only true God. The wonderful God. The mysterious God. You, God, are my God.
